Outdoor Experience Days: This aerial adventure is a wonderful, state of the art high
ropes course set high on the Hertfordshire hills, giving an already
aerial experience even more of a sense of height! The obstacle
course is made up of over 50 different elements, as well as five
fantastic zip lines to zoom across, including the daddy of the zip
lines, the ‘Big Zip’ that is over 100m long.
With 6 different routes that have various difficulty levels, there
is a suitable challenge for everyone, no matter their abilities
(and agility). The expert instructors will be there to help you
along your way, and make sure you are ready to take responsibility
for attaching your safety harness to the different sections of the
course. The Hertfordshire high ropes experience begins with a safety
briefing that will introduce you to the obstacle course and how it
works. After you have been fitted with your helmet and harness, you
will head for the high ropes and practice your balance and
technique on the induction course. Following the induction you will
be responsible for attaching yourself to the overhead safety system
at each platform on your journey. When the instructor is happy that
you are ready, he will send you off to the next level, and the
challenge (and fun) really begins! Participants on the
Hertfordshire high ropes adventure will also get to try out the
‘Big Zip’.
